Martha Whitworth Obituary
She was born June 6, 1936, in Warren County, to the late John H. Cason and the late Elizabeth Harrell Cason.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Ellijay and a school teacher for many years.
She is preceded in death by loving husband, Marion C. Whitworth; sisters, Betty Cason May and Pansy Cason Rogers; and brother, Jamie Cason.
She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Darryl (Julie) Whitworth and Andy (Sheila) Whitworth; grandchildren, Wesley (Danielle) Whitworth, Thomas (Jesse) Whitworth, Cody Whitworth, Caleb (Kaitlyn) Whitworth, Emma Whitworth and Ethan Whitworth; great-grandchild, Aspen Rose Whitworth; and nephew, Larry (Kim) May.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 17, 2024, from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Fields and the Rev. Scott Chastain officiating.
Interment was in the Yukon Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Wesley Whitworth, Thomas Whitworth, Cody Whitworth, Caleb Whitworth, Ethan Whitworth and Mark Washam.
Memorial contributions can be made to Compassion International or Samaritan's Purse in memory of Mrs. Martha Whitworth. Bernhardt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
