Billy Logan Obituary

Billie Lane Logan (née Brewer), age 99, passed away peacefully on Sept. 15, 2025, in Eagan, Minn.

Born Oct. 26, 1925, in Walnut Ridge, she was the daughter of Wilsey and Hazel Brewer. She married Jerre Logan after a whirlwind three-month courtship at the end of World War II, and together they shared 38 years of marriage, family, and the creation of their dream Japanese garden in Mendota Heights.

A pioneer in Movement (Dance) Therapy, Billie was among the earliest members of the American Dance Therapy Association and dedicated her career to helping others heal through movement. She was known for her determination – she never believed in the word "can't" – and for her artistry in the garden, where she approached each space as a living canvas. She was also a devoted Minnesota Twins fan.

Billie was preceded in death by her husband, Jerre; sister, Jeanne; and brother, Jack.

She is survived by her daughters, Shelly (Arlen) and Melissa (Joe); and her grandchildren, Sabrina (Ryan), Alexa (Johnny), and Grant (Caitlin).

Private family services were held.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum are preferred.

Billie and her love Jerre are a big part of my youth that was so special. They were young and sooooo kind to a young girl that just adored them. My heart breaks for you two girls and your families. You were so lucky to have had them for your parents
