Carleen Marie Skinner, 67, of Walnut Ridge, passed away July 22, 2025, at her residence.
Born Aug. 14, 1957, in St Charles, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Carl and Mell Frances Dobbs Herring. She worked most of her life as a caregiver in home health. She enjoyed crafting, such as making wreaths and was very creative with her hands. She loved plants, gardening, flowers and music. She took great pride in her granddaughters and loved them with all her heart. Carleen was member of the Main Street Church of Christ in Walnut Ridge.
In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her brother, Lester Herring.
Survivors include her daughter, Tonya Skinner of Pocahontas; two granddaughters, Emma and Kylie Skinner, both of Walnut Ridge; five sisters, Laverne (Stanley) Rainwater of Walnut Ridge, Cheryl Herring of Jonesboro, Cynthia Milburn of Walnut Ridge, Brenda (Ricky) Jones of Abilene, Texas, and Mary (Junior) Stormes of Paragould; her sister-in-law, Linda Herring of Portia; several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will take place at a later date.
