Mardell Goodman, 89, of Hoxie, passed from this life on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at her residence.
She was born on May 23, 1936, in Walnut Ridge, to the late Harrison and Lilly Wilson Capps. She was a homemaker and caregiver during her lifetime. Mardell was a member of the New Life Cathedral Church in Hoxie.
In addition to her parents, Mardell was preceded in death by her husband, James Goodman; son, Perry Goodman; her siblings, Vernice, Dorothy, Junior, Delbert and Bill.
She is survived by her son, Jim Goodman of Smithville, and her grandchildren, Joshua and Angela.
A memorial service was held Monday, July 7, at 1 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge with David Craig officiating.
