Ada Stokes Obituary

STOKES Ada Lucille Williams Stokes, 87, died Wednesday, August 16, 2006, at Martin General Hospital in Williamston, N.C. A funeral service will be held Friday at 7:30 p.m. in the chapel of Biggs Funeral Home. Burial will be Saturday at 12:30 at Westham-pton Memorial Park, 10000 Patterson Ave., Richmond, Va. She was a former resident of Wistar Street, Richmond, Va., and a retired employee of the Department of Highways, State of Virginia, with 35 years of service. She is survived by nieces, Dianna Haile of Kingsport, Tenn., Pat Pittman, Becki Lilley, Cheryl Klein and Karen Peyton, all of William-ston, N.C., Elaine Carr of Midlothian, Va., Betti Smythe of Richmond, Va. and Vicki Keene of Cross-ville, Tenn.; nephews, Joe Griffin and Danny Williams, both of Williamston, N.C., Fred Parrish of Chesterfield, Va., David Parrish of Charlotte, N.C., Jimmy Cherry of Greenville, N.C. and Clifton Cherry of Washington, N.C.; cousin, Eric Tucker and wife, Frances of Richmond, Va.; special friend, Cindy Selman of Washington, N.C. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Biggs Funeral Home in William-ston, N.C.; other times at the home of Butch and Becki Lilley, 1035 Grand Canyon Road, Williamston, N.C. 27892. Arrangements by Biggs Funeral Home, Will-iamston, N.C.
