Adolphus Yeatts Obituary

Adolphus Jearl Yeatts, 62, of Victoria, Va., died May 31, 2004. He was the son of the late Leslie Raymond Yeatts and Laura Skeeter Yeatts. He was also preceded in death by a brother, James Marvin Yeatts. He is survived by his wife, Sylvia DuPriest Yeatts; son, Jearl Todd Yeatts, of Victoria; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jeane Delores Yeatts of Tucson, Ariz., Betty Ann and Ted Bergstrom of Jacksonville, Ill., Sandra Lee and John Witt of Sedona, Ariz.; a brother and sister-in-law, Leslie Raymond Yeatts Jr. and Joan of Macon, Ga. He was a member of the Victoria Baptist Church, served in the U.S. Air Force and was a retired conductor with the Norfolk Southern Railroad. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 3, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Staples Funeral Home, Victoria, Va. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, June 4, 2 p.m. at the Victoria Baptist Church with interment in Lakeview Cemetery, Victoria.

Sorry for your loss. I didn't know your husband very well but I played baseball with Jimmy for a short while in high school and was really upset that he was not around very long. You are without a doubt one of the sweetest women that I have ever known and worked with. I know that your faith will allow you to get through this. Sincerely, Reggie
