Freda -

Your love and devotion for Alan is inspiring. You have defined the meaning for spouse, wife, companion, and friend. Your dedication to him reminds me of those vows we all make at marriage that are to be honored throughout our entire lives, and in doing so you honor him. His spirit lives on in your strength. - God Bless!

Dearest Freda, Ella, and family~

My family and I will miss Alan greatly. His sense of humor, his kindness, his easy-going nature, his infectious smile... Alan was truly a gentle giant. I couldn't have asked for a better husband for my best friend. Theirs was a match made in Heaven.

Since words escape me at this time, I'd like to share with you a poem I ran across shortly after losing my father in 1985. It helped me through that difficult period, and I hope it does the same for you.

My love and deepest sympathies to all of you,

Kay & family

I Did Not Die

Don't stand beside my grave and weep,

I am not there, I do not sleep,

I am a thousand winds that blow,

I am the diamond's glint on snow,

I am the sunlight on ripened grain,

I am the gentle autumn's rain.

When you awaken in morning's hush,

I am the swift uplifting rush,

of quiet birds in circle flight,

I am soft stars that shine at night,

Don't stand beside my grave and cry,

I am not there. I did not die.
