My Cousin, Andra----

" For every JOY that passes,

something BEAUTIFUL remains"

In all of our lives and for all of our days, you will remain in each of us that have loved you and those that received your love in return. No greater light shines brighter---no shining star will ever sparkle more.

Your Mother---may you feel the comfort--the peace---the knowing that Andra is now with Uncle Andy and Grammy and Gramps. Their arms welcomed Andra as she came to them and she will remain safely in their love and care.

Your Sister---a love so great---a love so never ending as two sisters one to another that no matter the time passed,Andra will remain with you to share all of your life's joys and happiness.

Your Husband---Reach for all of your mountain tops even as you walk thru your valleys. You will feel your Andra with you---a soft wind will blow and will so lightly touch upon your hand or your face. You will hear her laughter, you will feel her tears--but, always David, always you will feel her and have the memory of the love you shared.

Andra's butterfly will fly in the wind, with the wind...the seasons will pass and new seasons will come anew, and always, Andra, you will be there...among us and surrounding those that you love.

Had I known,Andra,I would have been there. Your Cousin, Christina

I was extremely sad and shocked to hear of the passing of Andrea. Her smile, wit and enthusiasm for life always provide me ecouragement. I will always remember her and our Saturday discussions at Strayer University regarding her Volvo, Computer and of course World Politics. I was one of her students and lucky to have had the opportunity of her wonderful friendship and will always remember her. May God Bless and be with you all.

I just received an e-mail from one of my classmates about the passing of Andra, and wanted to send my deepest sympathies. Andra was a classmate of mine at Marymount. Her smile truly could light up a room. We are all blessed for the time and the memories shared while God had her on this earth. She is in his hands now. May peace be with you all at this sorrowful time.

I first met Andra about eight years ago, when she was applying for a position as a part-time law clerk in the Richmond, VA law firm in which I had been a partner. I liked her immediately; her wit was refreshing, and her intellect was most impressive. During 1971-72, I had been an exchange student at Wellesley College, from which Andra graduated in 1993. Andra and I had a nostalgic conversation about our respective Wellesley experiences, including the one professor whom we had in common, separated by twenty-one years. We remained in touch intermittently over the years. When my wife, Kathy, and I were shopping for living room furniture, we purchased it from Andra, who was working full time at The North Carolina Company to meet her law school expenses. The last time Andra contacted me was to share the joyous news that she was engaged to her husband David. To use a Southern expression, Andra was "wicked smart," with a keen intellect and an admirable love of the law. She had a very promising career, which has been cut short by her death. Her passing is a profoundly sorrowful tragedy for all of us who had the privilege to know her. My heartfelt condolences go out to her husband and the rest of her family.

My heartfelt sympathies go out to your family. I met Andra in law school and, as these entries seem to emphasize, she always had a smile on her face and was very friendly and caring in what some would consider to be a cut-throat environment. I did not stay in touch with her once we graduated, but I was so sorry to hear of her passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you and her family and friends.

Dearest Allie,

I am so very sorry about Andra. I regretfully only knew her as a child when we were friends at Saint Bridgets. She was always so kind and gentle and had the sweetest smile. I can see her quietly scooting down the hall with her ponytail and uniform like it was yesterday. My added loss is losing touch with you and not knowing you both as adults. Please extend my deepest sympathy to your family.

Love, Jennifer

I extend my heartfelt sympathy to Andra’s new husband and family at this very sad time. I work for World Access in California and my relationship with Andra was mainly "electronic" but her humor, kindness and intelligence still came through loud and clear. When I finally met Andra last January, she was just as I'd imagined -- bubbly, bright and happy -- even after staying up nearly all night working on office video gags she had volunteered to shoot, and which she then volunteered to edit to present the following day. (She did a great job!) I will remember her very fondly.

On behalf of all the members of our employment team in Paris, I would like Andra’s family to know, what a choc the news of her decease was for all of us. We have been working with Andra now for several years and always very much appreciated our cross-Atlantic conference calls. We will especially remember her warm and joyful voice. She was smart and witty, always made our work easy. It was a real pleasure working with her.

She invited me to her wedding, which I was unfortunately unable to attend to.

Our warmest and kindest thoughts to her mother, her husband and sisters,

Sincerely

Patrick Thiébart

Dear Andra, you are missed and loved. Our prayers are with your family and "family of friends" during this time. I admire your courage; you never let on that you were valiantly battling an illness. The last time we spoke, you sounded so enthusiastic and upbeat, and you glowed through the phone lines when we talked about reinstating our Central Virginia Wellesley Club. We can feel you smiling at us from Heaven; on the night before you passed on, we made some solid plans for our club. Your prayer has been answered, and you remain a bright star in our Wellesley community.

Love to you, dear Wellesley sister.
