Ann Ellis Clements

1929 - 2023

CLEMENTS, Ann Ellis, Ann Ellis Clements, 94, of Spring Grove, VA, went to be with the Lord on October 12, 2023, at her family home of 68 years. She was the daughter of the late Clyde and Nancy Adams Ellis; and was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Calvin Avery Clements; and three brothers, Clyde, Billy, and her twin Royce Ellis. Mrs. Clements was a member of Salem United Methodist Church in Spring Grove, and had recently attended Carsley United Methodist in Waverly. She enjoyed gardening, especially growing flowers and vegetables for family and friends. She will be remembered by her family as a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Clements is survived by her daughter, Janice C. White and her husband, Bob; her son, Calvin Wayne Clements and his wife, Jennifer; and two grandchildren, David W. Clements and his wife, Cary and Dana C. Goodrich and her husband, Benji.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at 1 p.m., in Waverly Cemetery. Flowers are welcome, or contributions may be made to Salem United Methodist Church in Spring Grove, VA or to Carsley United Methodist Church in Waverly, VA in memory of Ann E. Clements.
