Antoinette Mackin Obituary

Antoinette (Toni) Mackin lost her long battle with illness on Saturday, August 20, 2005. She is survived by her life partner, Gary Hodges; her brother, Terry Mackin; and her sister, Christine Mackin Garner. The family will receive friends at the Bliley Funeral Homes' Staples Mill Chapel, 8510 Staples Mill Rd. on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, 10 a.m., at St. Bridget's Catholic Church. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Crossover Ministry, 2619 Sherbourne Rd., Richmond, Va. 23237 or www.crossoverministry.org in memory of Toni Mackin.

Dear Christine and Terry,

I don't even know where to begin to tell you how sorry I was to hear about Toni. My brother just called last night to tell me and I am so upset that I missed her funeral. Please know that I loved Toni dearly and that you and Gary are in my thoughts and prayers at this most difficult time. If there is anything I can do, please let me know.

Dear Mrs. Mackin,

I'm very sorry for the loss of your daughter, Toni. She was a beautiful person. She was a wonderful child. We've all lost our way at times but always but knew the right way thanks to the good of our parents. I'm sure she has found peace today and is along side of your husband and her father.
