Aritia Thompson Obituary

Departed this life April 4, 2003, Mrs. Aritia Briggs Thompson of 305 Carlstone Place. She was preceded in death by her mother, Bezella H. Briggs. She is survived by two daughters, April J. Briggs and Stacey D. Thompson; one grandson, Dominique E. Vincent Jr.; father, James H. Briggs,; stepmother, Myrtle F. Briggs; one sister, Latrella Burnett; one brother, James H. Briggs Jr.; four aunts, Irene Ford, Helen Black, Latrella Corvey and Pearl Hardeman; three uncles, Jesse Hardeman, Clyde Ford Sr. and Albert Daniels; several nieces, nephews and cousins; sister-in-law, Crystal G. Briggs; and other relatives and friends, among them Larry D. Thompson. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Ave. Funeral Wednesday 1 p.m., 5th Baptist Church, 1415 W. Cary Street where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Dr. Earl M. Brown, pastor, officiating. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Family and friends assemble at the church 12:45 p.m. Wednesday.
