Austin Conner Scruggs

SCRUGGS, Austin Conner, dedicated husband, stepfather, son and friend, departed this life on December 9, 2022. He had finally found true happiness and was flourishing in this world. He was met in heaven by his brother, Colin Scruggs; stepbrother, Heath Morris; his Nanne, Bobbe; Big Nanny, Peepaw and Grandy. Remaining behind are his wife, Angie Scruggs; mother, Valerie Kilby; father, Cris Scruggs; stepmother, Cindy; half-brother, Christopher Scruggs; father-in-law, Richard Crews; mother-in-law, Melody Crews; stepdaughter, Christie Garnett; stepson, Kurt Morgan; and many beloved, close extended family members who he loved very much. Conner was a dedicated husband, stepfather, son and friend. He shared a passion for NASCAR with his father and Uncle Casey. He was a third generation Colts fan. He worked hard to be the man he had become. He devoted all of his time, love and energy to his wife Angie, who in his eyes was not only the love of his life but as he called her, "the love of his existence." His stepson Kurt held a special place in his heart and gave Conner purpose. He spent his spare time relaxing under his favorite weighted blank with his best girl "GiGI" who to Conner is always a "good girl." After turning his life around, his light extinguished when he had just begun to show the world how bright he could truly shine. Thankfully we all know the memory of his smile holds enough light to illuminate all of our remaining days. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Bliley's Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull Street Road, Richmond, Va.
