My earliest memories consist of that wonderful Duncan family! I wish I could say something to help with the feeling of loss and sadness but I know the love within all your hearts and that is truly what makes the world continue to fight for... family and friends. I'm very proud to say I've been a friend and wish I could help with the loss. Love, Shannon

Mrs Duncan was one of the great Robscott Manor moms when we were a bunch of neighborhood kids playing outside and breakdancing in the summers. I'll always remember her kindness and gentleness she had for all of us. As I became an adult and ventured to the Navy when i retuned I alway made sure I stopped by and said Hi to Mrs. Duncan and gave her update on my travels. She was soo missed by me when she moved to Richmond. May she get to take care of all the kids in heaven too. Miss you, Love you and thank you for being a part of my.life. Love Kellyann Bruno

Barbara was such a special insightful soul, versatile & proficient in the music profession, a firm believer in the Christ she served, my Maggie Walker HS classmate/choir member, VSC music major classmate & VSUAA, a Soror who was very witty, funny & charming & often my seat mate at sorority meetings. Her cousin Roosevelt Cotton was my immediate neighbor on my left. We visited as phone buddies all the time. She shared her medical diagnosis with me, We continued talking until it became a bit much for her to do so. As I miss her dear friendship, I have sweet & happy memories of her to carry always. May her children & grandchildren remember her love & devotion she had for them and be comforted with the peace that God gives. Now she is resting in the precious arms of Jesus the Christ. Amen!
