Benjamin (Benny)( Soltez, the man who loved the Lord and never gave up in serving Him by using the talents and skills God gave to him whether it was replacing a light bulb repairing the lawn mower or fixing a bathroom fixture in need of repair at Nazareth Lutheran Church! Benny answered those calls by saying "Send me, send me"! I always enjoyed working with this very humble man, visiting with him at church or in social settings! His life was full of devotion to the Lord and to his family as he cared for his mother during her life time or his brother while he was ill. May God shower his nephew, Dr. Bruce Smith, as He blessed his uncle!

Ben Soltez was a faithful member of Nazareth Lutheran Church in Hopewell during our family´s time there and my father, Rev. Frank G Koehler, thought highly of him and his family. After leaving Hopewell and moving to the greater Richmond area I used to run into Ben from time to time while out shopping and he always had a smile of remembrance, was thoughtful, and asked about my parents which was appreciated. My condolences are with his nephew, his special friend, and others who knew him.
