Beverly A. Thomas, born on October 21, 1956, in Richmond, VA, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2025. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Irene Thomas. She was a retired dedicated project manager in the IT industry, serving the Commonwealth of Virginia with distinction. Beverly will be fondly remembered by her family, including her sister, Linda Thomas; her nieces, Laura Wimmer and Victoria Jessup (John); nephew, Brian Thomas; great-niece, Arilyn, and great-nephew, Levi.
Beverly had a profound love for animals, particularly her cherished cats: Monsieur, Sunspot, Tabby, Snowflake, Kiwi, Pumpkin, and Hitch. Her generosity as a donor to the Richmond SPCA reflected her commitment to animal welfare. A lover of nature, she enjoyed walking outdoors and exploring the beauty of the environment that surrounded her. Beverly was also an avid coin collector, a passion that brought her much joy and fulfillment. Her musical talents shone through as she wrote songs and played the guitar and bass, bringing her much happiness.
The family will celebrate Beverly with a private ceremony at Maury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Richmond SPCA or Richmond Animal League.

I worked with Beverly for a nimber of years at DBHDS. She was truly dedicated to whatever project she managed. And she definitely loved her cats. She would sign her Christmas cards "Beverly and cats". And she loved her family just as much.
Beverly will always have a special place in my heart. My condolences.
