Bobby Lee Owen

OWEN, Bobby Lee, 74, a resident of Chester, Va., passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Connie Owen. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Betty Jean Owen; son, Richard Lee Owen; daughter, Charlotte Ann Thomas and husband, Chad; grandchildren, Savannah Claire Thomas, Caroline Olivia Thomas and Piper Jean Thomas; brother, Johnny William Owen; as well as numerous extended family and friends. Bobby was a Sergeant in the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War. He worked as an Industrial Mechanic and retired from Brown & Williams after 35 years of service. He was the President of the Cockade City Bassmaster's Club for 30 years. He loved spending time with his family and he was an avid outdoorsman, spending his free time fishing and hunting. A visitation will be held at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Thursday, December 9, 2021 from 6 to 8 p.m., 3050 W. Hundred Rd., Chester, Va. 23831. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. December 10, 2021 at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions in honor of Bobby can be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
