Carl S. Mitchell

1934 - 2023

MITCHELL, Carl S., 89, of Doswell, Va., passed away July 24, 2023. He is now at peace with his wife, Mary Ann of 64 years, as well as other family members and friends. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to so many. Carl is survived by his son, Michael W. Mitchell (William Bowles); granddaughter, Brittany E. Jolley (Aaron); great-granddaughter, Gemma M. Jolley; daughter-in-law, Beverly Mitchell; nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends, and extended family. Carl was a graduate of Henry Clay High School. He retired from Genuine Parts Co. after 50 years of service. He was a longtime member of the Caroline Moose Lodge and Moose Legion. Carl was an avid camper who loved to be near the water whether it be boating or fishing. He also loved music and going to dances with his wife. You could always find him playing cards with others. The house doors were always open because he loved to entertain and help anyone in need. He loved football, especially his Dallas Cowboys. Carl was a father to many and a friend to everyone.
