Carolyn Bailey Obituary

BAILEY, Carolyn Ann, 85, of Lakeside, took her final journey home on August 29, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She is preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Raymond, and her daughter, Karen. She is survived by daughters Deborah Smith and Brenda Edwards (Johnny); granddaughters Stephanie Bickett and Shannah Edwards; grandson Ryan Edwards; great grandsons Conner Bickett, Noah Simpkiss and Jace Edwards; and many other adoring relatives and faithful friends. Carolyn's lifetime commitment was to her loving husband, her beautiful children, family and her tight knit group of friends. Her devout faith contributed to her being such a strong pillar for all those she loved. She was quite an amazing chef, baker and had a stellar creative and artistic ability in all things crafty. Her strength, nurturing presence, supportive nature, patient existence and glowing radiance are what we will remember and celebrate about our sweet Carolyn. We would like to thank her caregivers (Gwen, Bonnie, Resa and Lucy) who stepped in on her final days to care for her so that we were able to have those last moments together as a family. Carolyn's family will receive friends on Friday, September 5th, from 1 p.m.-2 p.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church at 1925 Grove Avenue, followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. in the church sanctuary. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church.

Carolyn was such a sweet person. I remember Carolyn and Raymond coming to my aunt`s house when they were dating. They were so meant to be together.
