Carolyn Buyalos Obituary
Born in Hopewell, Va., she was the daughter of the late Lloyd Opie and Amy Rugar Clark; and was also preceded in death by her son, Christopher Lloyd Buyalos; brothers, Wallace B. Clark and Bruce A. Clark; sisters, Phyllis Clark Lee and Jacqueline Clark Patterson.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Michael A. Buyalos; son, Norman Vincent Buyalos (Cissy); four grandchildren, Nicole Buyalos Reise (Devin), Benjamin R. Buyalos (Austin), Kristin Buyalos Farag (Chris) and Morgan A. Buyalos; nine great-grandchildren, Blakely Reise, Braden Reise, Landon Buyalos, Ryan Buyalos, Lilly Farag, Kennedy Farag, Kate Farag, Hayden Wright and Lucas Wright; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews and extended family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, May 7 at St. James Catholic Church in Hopewell, Va. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service for visitation. There will be a reception time for food and fellowship following the service in the church parish hall.

I never met Carolyn in person, but shared many cards and phone calls with her after her son Chris passed. She was lovely to talk to, and we had bonded over our love of cats, which Chris shared as well. My deepest sympathies to her family during this difficult time, and may God bless you all during this time of sorrow.
