Catherine Womack Obituary

WOMACK, Catherine T., age 88, of Richmond, Va., passed away on Monday, September 13, 2010. She was born in Greensboro, N.C. on January 15, 1922. After World War II, she moved to the Richmond area with her husband, the late Harry L. Womack, to raise a family and later begin a family business, Womack Electric Company. Mrs. Womack was a longtime resident of Chesterfield County. She is survived by her brother, Noble Eugene Tripp of Petersburg, Va.; children, Ronnie Womack of Carolina Beach, N.C., Steve Womack of Richmond, Va., Linda King of Penns Park, Pa., and Mark Womack of Petersburg; grandchildren, Christine Copa, Hillary Hawkins, Grady Womack, Tara Mason, Bryon Womack, Lauren Womack, Katie King, Samantha Womack, Celeste Womack, and Reagan Womack; great-grandchildren, Sloane Copa, Smith Copa, Lane Hawkins, Tripp Hawkins, Mary Stuart Hawkins, Hokunani Womack, and Makani Womack; and other family and friends. The family will receive friends at the Chester chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Thursday, September 16, 2010 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday at 11 a.m. with interment following in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester. To the Family of Caterine,
I just want say that your mom and dad were wonderful family, when we, John Broome's, children were little...and as we grew...we have such wonderful memories of going to the river fishing and many wonderful times...Jerry and I had our wedding reception in your basement over 50 years ago...I am very sad to hear this...but your mom lived a full life! God bless each of you as you say so long...we are still living in Hampton, VA. May God comfort each of you...as only He can.
