THOMPSON, Cecil E. Sr., 78, of Richmond, died April 8, 2023. Surviving are his wife, Doris S. Thompson; four sons, Cecil E. Jr. (Anne), Xavier (Emma), Thayers (Darlene) and James (Princess) Thompson; two daughters, Zeldeanna Thompson and Daphne Mayo; host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Elvera Cuttery (Keith); brother-in-law, Haywood Swearingen (Valarie); other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd., where viewing will be held Monday, April 17 from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 18 at Scott's Chapel, 116 E. Brookland Park Blvd., Elder Richard Tucker officiating. Interment Mt. Sinai Baptist Church Cemetery, King William, Va. Live streaming and online guestbook at www.scottsfuneralhome.com.
