Charles Carter Reidelbach

REIDELBACH, Charles Carter, 20, of Richmond, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2022. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Odom Reidelbach. He is survived by his father, Charles Edward Reidelbach; brothers, Leonard and Billy Reidelbach; sister, Catherine McKenzie Smith (Lindsey); aunt and uncle, Clare and Matt Frayer; aunts, Frances Reidelbach, Carol Mullins, Joan Mrkvicka, Beth Reidelbach and Kay Gusti; and cousins, Keith, Madi and Clark, among many cousins on his father's side. Having graduated from Douglas Freeman in 2021 where he was a proud member of all things music, Carter focused on developing his skills in the workforce. Throughout his life, Carter had a profound love for gaming. Of all the games he played, Pokémon and Smash were among those he dedicated his focus, so much so that he gained success in local tournaments and traveled the country with his closest friends to compete. The communities he gained from gaming gave him lifelong friendships and surrounded him with an enormous amount of love and support. Carter was such a bright light who shared his kindness and sensitivity with everyone who entered his life. Although his life was short, the vast impact he had on those who knew him was evident. His desire to help others succeed, concern for other's happiness and wellbeing and genuine love for his family and friends were just parts of what made Carter who he was. He will be remembered for all the love he shared, something he would want all of us to hold closely. A Celebration of Life will be held at Derbyshire Baptist Church, 8800 Derbyshire Road, Richmond, Va. 23229, from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, January 15, 2023, where all friends and family are welcome to come share memories together.
