Christine Kozusko

1948 - 2025

Christine Szczerba Kozusko, 77, of Midlothian, Virginia, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 20, 2025.

Born June 30, 1948, in Utica, New York, Christine was the daughter of the late Walter "Eddie" and Helen Krol Szczerba. As a devoted Navy wife, she lived across the country, making a home wherever the Lord placed her family. She spent many cherished years in Hampton, Virginia, and Frederick, Colorado, before settling in Midlothian.

Christine delighted in people and lived a life full of love and adventure. Her greatest joy was found in her faith in Jesus Christ, which guided everything she did. She poured her heart into her family, her friends, and her church community, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and steadfast devotion. She faithfully served others through volunteering at Mercy Mall, Evergreen Elementary School, and was very active in multiple Bible studies, where she encouraged and uplifted others in their walk with Christ.

She is survived by her three children: Michelle Fuller; Ed Kozusko and his wife, Anna Beth; and Teresa Brown and her husband, Rufus; and her children's father, Frank Kozusko. She was a proud grandmother to her eight grandsons: Nathaniel, Zachary, and Matthew Fuller; Tad, Andrew, and Matthias Kozusko; and Rufus and Emmett Brown. She is also survived by her sister, Maryann Pogozelski. Christine was preceded in death by her brother, John Szczerba, and her parents.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Crestwood Presbyterian Church, 1200 Charter Colony Parkway, Midlothian, Virginia.
