Christine Mayer Obituary

Christine Glenn Mayer, 80, of Rockville, peacefully departed this earth on Wednesday, December 18, 2002. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Mary Parrish; her first husband, Lt. Col. Thomas P. Glenn; and her son, Dennis Cleveland Glenn. She is survived by her husband, Albert John Mayer Jr.; and her sons, Thomas Arthur Glenn, and Russell Barry Glenn and his wife, Templeton Adair Glenn. She was the grandmother of six loving grandchildren, Tommy Glenn, Rob Glenn, Christopher Glenn, Charlie Glenn, Adair Glenn, and Thomas Glenn. Mrs. Mayer was a longtime employee of the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. Christine was a good Christian, a faithful wife, a loving mother, and a valued friend. She will be missed. The family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the West Chapel of the Bennett Funeral Home, 11020 West Broad St. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at the Berea Baptist Church. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Berea Baptist Church Building Fund, 15475 Ashland Rd., Rockville, Va. 23146.
