To the Deckert family and Mary-Ellen, my deepest sympathies. I was just so sad to hear about Chris' passing and wanted to say how much he will be remembered. I had not seen him in a few years, but I remember him fondly when he was teaching all of us tennis at Westwood and how patient and kind he was, even in the 100-degree heat! May you all be forever comforted by his memory and spirit. God Bless,
Laura and Connor Wilkerson

Dear Morgan and Jill,
In the last couple of days you have often crossed my mind since I have received the news about Chris. I have fond memories of your family, especially Morgan. I will remember Chris as a parent that always cared for his daughter and that would come to our school to hang out with Morgan at lunch, spend time with her at a family event or pick her up for the afternoon. He was always a pleasure to talk to and was always excited to see Morgan. You're in my thoughts. Sincerely, Gina (Dizon) Ivey

Christopher Scott Deckert has meant many things to the people in his life. To me, he has played the role of friend, confidant, love, protector, but above all, father. The bond that he and his daughter, Morgan, have shared cannot be broken by time, space, even death. She will grow up knowing that she was the most important thing in her Daddy's life and even though she cannot see him anymore, he will always be with her, guiding her, giving her advice, watching over her. Forever in our hearts...

Chris was a very good person. He cared a lot about his friends and his job and mostley his daughter Morgan. I have enjoyed working with Chris at the club and even though I have not been there in 2 years I will still miss him and remember what a sweet and wonderful person he was. It is very said to loose a person like Chris.
