Christopher Kenneth Mayton

MAYTON, Christopher Kenneth, 42, of Ashland, Virginia, passed away at home after his courageous battle with cancer on March 27, 2024.

A humble servant of the Lord, Christopher was a devoted and loving father to his two daughters and a cherished husband for 19 years. He touched the lives of many in various capacities, spreading love, kindness, and faith to those around him.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Michelle, daughters Alyssa and Olivia, mother Barbara Vollmer (Carl), father Charles Mayton, sister Angela Jenks (Larry), nephew Gavin Jenks, aunt Joan Pollock (Richard), as well as many cousins. Christopher was preceded in death by his Nana and Pop, Charles and Francis Mayton, Grandaddy Gerald Raduns, Aunt Lisa Fields, and half-brother Austin Mayton.

Christopher was a master in the HVAC trade, employed at Hobbs and Associates. He was also known for his love of making ice cream for the employees at Hobbs. In his free time, he enjoyed indulging in his hobbies, which included being an avid firearm enthusiast, building and fixing things and training HVAC apprentices.

He worshipped at Generation Church and Fairmount Christian Church and graduated from Atlee High School.

An open house Celebration of Life gathering in honor of Christopher will be held at Fairmount Christian Church on Creighton Road on April 14th, 2024, from 2 to 5 p.m. He was blessed by numerous close friends that showed unwavering support during not only this difficult time but throughout the years, especially Michael Morris, Jason Ramey, and Jimmy Campbell. Christopher will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
