Clara Bosher Obituary
Clara Harris Bosher, 96, of Mechanicsville, went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 2, 2026. She was preceded in death by her parents, Erma and Thomas P. Harris, Sr.; brother, Thomas P. Harris, Jr.; and her husband of 64 years, Stanley L. Bosher. Clara is survived by her very special friend, who is more like a son, Tommy Cecil; niece, Linda Latimer; nephew, Mike Tyler (Janet); as well as numerous extended family members. She worked at Mechanicsville Medical Center for 51 years. When she was not a work, Clara helped her husband on the farm. She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, and traveling with her husband. Clara was a lifetime member of Gethsemane Church of Christ, where she served as a Bible School Teacher for decades and played the piano for 50 years, beginning at age 18.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12 noon, with a celebration of Clara's life beginning at 12 noon, Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Gethsemane Church of Christ, 5146 Mechanicsville Tpke, Mechanicsville, VA 23111. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff of Ascend Hospice and Heritage Green Assisted Living. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Gethsemane Church of Christ or Oak Hill Christian Camp, 8451 Oak Hill Camp Rd., Mechanicsville, VA 23111. bennettfuneralhomes.com

Our sympathy & prayers for Clara & her family. What a blessing we had to know & love this fine Christian lady. I worked with her at the medical center, as a senior in high school. I am a Robinson from Northberry Farm in Tunstall. We moved in 1972 but when I saw her obituary in the paper I had to reach out. My father Donald Robinson had spoken often about "` Stanley Bosher" and with such respect . Just wanted to let the family know that good people are remembered for very long times .
