Dr. Claude David Richardson Jr.

RICHARDSON, Dr. Claude David, Jr., 97, of Richmond, Va., passed away on March 4, 2022. He was predeceased by his parents, Claude D. and Gertrude P. Richardson; and wife, Doris Hedgpeth Richardson. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Margaret B. Richardson; his daughter, Diane M. Bennett (Bob); his son, Brian Richardson (Betty); grandchildren, Ivy Brewer and Berkeley Goodloe (Kate); great-grandchildren, Molly Brewer and Ella Jane Goodloe; stepchildren, Deborah Dugger (Jim), Al Strickland; and stepgranddaughters, Julia, Anne and Merrell Dugger. Dave served in the U.S. Naval Air Corps in WWII. He graduated from MCV School of Dentistry, where he taught dental radiology. He was a member of Fellowship of American College of Dentistry and past president of Richmond Dental Society. He was a charter member of Reveille United Methodist Church and member of the John Marshall Alumni Band. Graveside services will be held Friday, March 11, 2022 at 11 a.m. in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 4000 Pilots Lane Richmond.
