Cleo Lee Obituary

USMC Retired 1st Sgt. Cleo Edwin Lee, age 77, of Richmond, Va.; went home to be with the Lord on January 9, 2005. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Mariam Shaar Lee; daughter, Julia M. Spears and husband, Bill of Richmond, Va.; son, Joseph S. Lee and wife, Dianne of Salisbury, N.C.; one sister, Gloria Strawn and husband, Keith of Darlington, S.C.; one brother, Leon Lee of Dayton, Ohio; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, family and friends. Mr. Lee was a highly decorated veteran of Korea and Vietnam and retired with 25 years of service in the United States Marine Corps. A memorial service will be held to celebrate his life on January 22, 11 a.m. at St. Johns Catholic Church, Nine Mile Road in Highland Springs. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bon Secours Hospice, 5875 Bremo Road, Suite 710, Richmond, Va. 23226 or St. Johns Catholic Church, 813 West Nine Mile Road, Highland Springs, Va. 23075.
