Cynthia Diane Hunt Austin

AUSTIN, Cynthia Diane Hunt, 80, passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2023 in Richmond, Va. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Lee "Yogi" Austin Sr. She is survived by her loving and devoted family, daughter, Pamela Bush (Bryan); grandchildren, Mark A. Bush, Christopher R. Bush, Kelly Johns (Jimmy) and Sara Towles (Charles); great-grands, Harper Bush, Hudson Bush Kenslee Johns, Caiden Towles and Chase Towles. Cynthia was a loving mother who cherished her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed playing bingo and socializing with family and friends. She made annual contributions to Sgt. Santa because she could not imagine children not having a sparkle in their eyes on Christmas morning. She was so concerned about others that she would gather clothing and transport them to the homeless in the downtown Richmond area. She worked faithfully in hair salons until her retirement. Cynthia's service will be private, however memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at https://act.alz.org/donate.
