Thank you to the Eilertsons for all of your love, caring and compassion for our family. I will always be thankful that your family was a part of our life throughout their growing lessons in life and how Johnathon stayed with Danny throughout the night during his diagnostic tests. There are no words for how Danny's sweet brother Trevor was always there for him in the first stage of his condition (Juevinile Myoclonic Epilepsy) in so many ways more than anyone can ever imagine! When Eddie referred to Danny and Trevor as Stonewall, I do believe it went both ways!!! Danny and Trevor are blessed with fantastic role models and that is their older brother Matther and their Dad...Doug!

It's days like these that i miss you two the most. Danny, you, matt and Trev were always like the little brothers I never had and always wanted. Not a day goes by that I don't miss you just as much as the very first one. All the fun times and the anticipated visits will always be remembered and can never be forgotten! It gives me a great peace of mind and hope to know u two goofballs are looking down on me every single day. I love you with all my heart and I can't help but miss you terribly! Danny,
You were such a very special part of our family Danny. Such an unique personality, full of laughter..leaving us with so many happy memories. As your cousins and us reminisce, sometimes we laugh, sometimes we cry. We always will miss you terribly, as we do Matthew. And although we know that you and Matthew are still laughing together in God's heaven, it is still painful for us here on earth. If but for anything else, there is comfort only in knowing that you and Matt are both special angels in God's home.

Mr. Danny,
I just wanted to began to say that there is not a day that goes by that I do not think of you or Matthew. You both were so special to our families and it breaks our hearts to know that you are both gone and that we have to wait until we all meet again. I think of all the times that we shared and laughed and all the inside jokes that we had, especially the vacation with the fox. I know that I lost 2 very very special nephews and that there is not a day that goes by that you both are not with me. I remember I would always look forward to coming down to Virginia every summer to hang out with you and Trevor when we were younger. The three of us would always go out and ride dirtbikes to all of the local spots and create havoc wherever we went (like playing tackle football and we hurt Brooke and the ambulance came haha). I miss those days. I know that someday we will be chilling again.

I miss you so much Danny. It was always so fun being with you. I just remembered the time I had to go to the hospital when we were kids and you pushed me into the ditch of your front yard in the Fisher Price car and it really hurt my neck (my fault though). And all the times when you tried to wrestle Matt and he would slam you down. Haha.
I'll always remember the good times when we were playing hockey at the rink and just hangin out.
You, Matt and Trevor will be my boys for all time.

I have known you all for so long, and have played so many hours of hockey with Trevor and Danny. I am so sorry to hear about Danny's passing. I know how much you loved him and how much he loved you. Doug & Carol, I am so sorry to hear about Danny. It's hard to believe that it's been about 15 years ago that our boys started playing hockey together (I am Jordan Snead's mother) and how they all have continued to shared the love of the game after all these years still. There has been such a huge bond with these boys that started way back then at Ashland and they have stuck together in friendship all these years. It is unimaginable what you must be going through. Even though it's been awhile since I have personally seen you guys please know that you are in my deepest thoughts and prayers! We didn't personally know your family or Danny, but during the recent snow storm, when one of our cars were stuck in the Foxhead ditch, he happened by and offered to help. He pulled our car out and would not take any money for his efforts. As many people in Mechanicsville know your family for your previous loss, we have you in our thoughts with the passing of Danny.
