Dear Evelyn,
We were so saddened to hear the news about Danny, since we had just reconnected with you both. Our hearts are hurting today because we will miss our dear friend. There are not enough words to express what a fabulous and wonderful friend he was. His sense of humor and his big hugs always made my day better and I sure missed them. Hugs and Prayers,
Brian and Linda Batteiger

Danny was a prince of a man. He was warm, welcoming, and uplifting. He always had a smile when greeting friends at church and would inquire after your welfare and the welfare of your loved ones. One of my favorite memories of Danny is the time when we were cast members together in a church play called "The Wild, Wild West." With his height, he made a striking cowboy and played his part to the hilt, causing much laughter. He was fun loving, yet soul searching. My heart and prayers go out to Evelyn and the family. Danny's presence will be greatly missed at Bon Air United Methodist Church.

I was with Danny for two years while we attended Ferrum Junior College. I was the manager/student trainer for the basketball team and we enjoyed many great laughs and good times together. I always knew Danny was destined to make a difference in his life and he did. Benjamin Franklin, said, "Well done is better than well said" - Danny, well done. My deepest condolences to the Baker family.

Evelyn,
My heart aches for you in the loss of Danny. What a vivacious, caring, warm person he was. He always seemed to have a huge smile on his face. My daughter Laura was in the same class with Brad. I shall keep in you in my prayers as you journey through this grief. I am sending love and hugs to you.
