As a member of Welborne UMC, I lovingly remember David as a gentle, kind, and thoughtful man who provided a quiet example of God's love. My heart is with Lois, his children and grandchildren, and the many others who loved him.

Lois,
I worked for David many years ago when he had his own business as a CPA and also went to your daughter's wedding. One Christmas you and David had us at your house for smoked turkey dinner. I am sorry to hear about David's dearh. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
I am in Connecticut now and will lift all of you in prayer when I meet with my prayer group on Tuesday.
May the Lord continue to comfort you and embrace all of you with His grace and peace.

To the family: Please accept my heartfelt condolences. I worked in the Accounting Department at Sears back in 1978, and Mr. Ellwanger was my boss. He treated us all with dignity and respect. He was a quiet man, and it was a pleasure to go to work. Rest in peace, Mr. Ellwanger. You have earned your wings.

My sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Ellwanger. As Paige and Craig's friend, years ago, I had the pleasure of meeting both their families, and Mr. Ellwanger was such a kind person. Whenever I would visit he we would chat and laugh together. I know how much his family will miss him as well as his community. Again, my deepest sympathies. Take care. Janet L. Ziolkowski (formerly, Ben Fortner, Jr.s wife)
