Dirk,Dolly and Katherine,
We were sorry to hear about David. He had a light and energy that few people have. David had a awe and wonder about life I still smile about today. Logan would look at him from our front yard and want to doing every trick David did. From his Halloween mask the first week in October to throwing homself into a pile of leaves it was all good stuff. I loved it when he threw a tide bottle in the air full of water just to watch the splash pattern on the asphalt. We will miss him.

I attended the beautiful funernal ceremony yesterday. David, we are going to miss you so much. There were so many people there yesterday to remember you and it seemed like everyone had the same impression of you like I did. Always smiling and never saying anything bad about someone. Nathan Patin and I are going to visit you a lot where you rest. R.I.P. David. May you always look down upon us.

David,
Where do i start man? Ever since the 4th grade when i first met you, i have had some of the best moments of my life with you. You were always great to hang out with. I remember always seeing you up at tucahoe with your bike and we would just chill at the baseball fields. I always enjoyed having you over and it was so much fun when you would come down to the river with us. I wish this didn't turn out the way it did. I'm sure you are looking down upon us in heaven. It will never be the same without you. RIP david.

i still cant believe this has happened. Its so unreal...
you were such an amazing, talented, kind, handsome, and goodhearted guy. I will never forget the great times i had with you. first with shotwells class freshman year. there wasnt a minute that passed by that you werent making me laugh. especially that cookie joke. whenever i tell that joke i think of you.
haha i remember when my sister first met you. you came over to our house and she could never remember your name and she just kept calling you frankie...no idea why.
whenever you used to come over with tyler and travis you were always smiling, laughing, or making other people laugh.
you were such a REAL person.
you didnt care what anyone thought about you. you just lived your life the way you wanted and i look up to you SO much for that.
there are so many people at school mourning. we all miss you like crazy.....but everyone just tries to remember the great memories with you.
you were truly an angel on earth and we will never EVER forget you or the time you spent here with us.
i thank god for blessing me with your friendship.
i love you david.

Dear David, Steven will miss you terribly. He said you are really awesome and good-natured. He never saw you get mad, and that it was not fair for you to go. He said you were awesome with your bike. You are now an angel watching over your family and friends. I know in my heart that you are now in Heaven with our Lord Jesus. You will be sorely missed.

To the Holcomb family,
No words can express the pain that you are going through right now. But keep in mind that your son was loved by many and hated by none. I know not one person that did not love being around David. I have known David since middle school. We were never very close but we talked a lot and had a lot of classes together in the past few years.
David, we love you, nothing will be the same without you. But you will always be in our hearts, forever.
Love,
Sara

David, I miss you so much. I just want to see your beautiful smile and you riding your bike one more time. I remember one time when you were a freshmen, we were at lunch and you flipped your backpack over your head and thought it was the coolest thing in the world. I did too. You always made me laugh and you were so dedicated to your bike. I admire everything about you and I will think of you and miss you every day.
My prayers go out to your family, I know this is a hard time for all of us but he was a great guy who will be remembered with great fondness.
