David James Pearrell

1956 - 2023

PEARRELL, David James, 67, passed away unexpectedly on April 6, 2023 at home in Virginia Beach. After graduating from Meadowbrook High School, he worked as an electrician, then for Chesterfield County in water treatment and for various convenience stores before retiring. Dave had many interests and passions, being near the sea, SCUBA diving, kayaking, being around nature, studying history and planes and ships, tinkering, debating various topics, riding bikes and gardening, among others. Dave's biggest treasures were his soulmate, Sharon and being grandpa to Sage and Adler. He was predeceased by his mother, Jean Grant Pearrell. He is survived by his father, David Thomas Pearrell of Chesterfield; his brother, Tim Pearrell (Mary) of Chesterfield; nephews, Grant Pearrell of Atlanta and Wade Pearrell (Jamie, daughter, Luna) of Fairfax; Sharon Roberts Smith, her son, Tyler Smith, her daughter, Elizabeth Farmer (Cliff); and grandchildren, Sage and Adler, all of Virginia Beach. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 22, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Road in Chesterfield. A graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. at Dale Memorial Park, 10201 Newbys Bridge Road in Chesterfield. Casual attire; Dave was a casual kind of guy.
