Deborah Wooten

July 27, 1952 - February 25, 2025

Ashland, VA. Deborah "Debbie" Gray Wooten, 72, passed away unexpectedly on February 25, 2025. Debbie was a cum laude graduate of Randolph-Macon Woman's College, Class of 1974.

While pursuing her degree in Russian Studies, (graduating with Honors), Debbie was employed as a Summer Intern with The Voice of America. Upon graduation from R-MWC she began her professional career in the U.S. Department of State. She rose in rank to be one of the first female FAA Supervisors while serving at RIC. She was also a pilot, caregiver, volunteer to many local community organizations, and a Certified Healing Touch Practitioner. Her great love for her Friesian horses, Rintze and Gerben, was well known and they shared Life together on her beautiful farm, Rintzeland. Her 'family' also included her cherished cats over the years. Debbie leaves behind a sister Dee Beggarly (Van), brother Gray (Diana), sister MaryEllen, nephews US Army CPT Connor Wooten, Brian Beggarly and Hunter Beggarly.

Debbie was such a wonderful lady! We took Healing Touch classes together and then she was a Helper for me later in our work. She was so supportive and organized, but mostly she was just a good person. She will be missed. Love to her family.
