Derrick Lionel Turner, 60, formerly of Courtland, VA, departed this earthly life Saturday, September 7, 2024. He is survived by his brother, Crinshaul D. Turner, Jr.; nephew, Crinshaul D. Turner, III; and other relatives and friends.

I’m going to miss our occasional but very long talks that lasted for hours over the years. Although you were a private person, I’m glad you could talk to me about certain things. I can honestly say that you’ve always been a great person that could make me laugh even when I didn’t want to. You had a very good heart and I truly enjoyed our friendship.
