Donald Cable Obituary
November 26, 1949 - September 10, 2025
Donald 'Hoza' Hale Cable, 75, of Henrico, Va., passed away on September 10, 2025. He is preceded in death by his parents, J Lawrence Cable and Dorothy Cable Boone; stepfather, Hiram Boone; and brother, Vincent Cable. He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Joan Dagenhart Cable; as well as his daughter; a granddaughter; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
Donald worked for over 25 years in Richmond, Va. as a supervisor for Verizon, before retiring. He was a kind soul and friend to everyone he met, especially his gang in the Ozone Trucking Brothers who spent many days at Hatteras Beach fishing. At home, he loved to spend time with Joan and their beloved dog, Khloe. His sudden loss will be felt by all who loved him.
The family will receive friends 1 to 4 p.m., Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Bliley's, 8510 Staples Mill Road. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in his memory to The Salvation Army of Central Virginia Area Command or a charity of your choice. For condolences, see www.blileys.com.

Antinori.( he is a bit more "technology challenged,even
than me,and asked that I write
this ,per his direction.) Jim and
Don had known each other for
more years than me.I remember
they had a running joke,because
apparently they both thought it
perfectly acceptable to wear their summer shorts,year round,come sunshine or snow.They often could be heard shouting friendly jibes across the parking lot.Jim wants to relay to
you,how saddened he is,and how
very much he will miss his comrade
,across the drive.He,too,wishes to let
you know that is he is here, should you ever need anything.
