Dorothy Purks, 89, of Henrico, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 29, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leamon and Lenora Pounds; beloved husband, Charlie Purks Sr.; and son-in-law, Frank Trimmer. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Charlie Purks Jr. (Debra), Catherine "Tina" Trimmer, Pam Stoneman (Butch); grandchildren, Brandy (Brian), Lindsey, Kaylen, April (Jay), Andrew, John (Molly), Casey (Duff), Becky (Rob), Abbey (Zack); great-grandchildren, Tyler, Daniel, Austin, Jase, Sadie, Banks, Ellie, and three on the way.
A celebration of Dot's life will be held at 12:30 p.m., on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at Four Mile Creek Baptist Church, 2950 New Market Rd., Henrico, VA 23231, with a visitation 45 minutes prior to the service as well as after during reception.
