Dorothy Winbauer

Winbauer, Dorothy Jennette, 92, passed away on Friday, September 12, 2025. She is survived by her husband of 76 years, Joseph Winbauer, Sr.; her three children, Jeanette Smith, Jo Ann Retzloff and Joseph Winbauer, Jr.; her four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She had a long career as a cafeteria worker at Varina Elementary and John Rolfe schools. She was an award winning baker, avid crafter, passionate flower gardener and enjoyed bowling and line dancing. She was a member of Four Mile Creek Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Monday, September 22, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA 23231 where a funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 23, at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Washington Memorial Park.
