To Emily's family: She was a kind and warm person. Remember the first time I saw her, how friendly she was. She was always energetic. We will never forget her. I will miss her.

Dear Eric and Family,
Emily was an inspiration and a challenge to all who knew her - to learn, to grow, and to strive always to be a better human being! For her, flowers represented earth's ambassadors of beauty and peace. But, for those of us who loved her, she was a rare flower herself. I will miss her - "My Young As Springtime Emily" - My Dearest Friend.

To Mrs. Seidel's family:
She was a client of Commonwealth Catholic Charities for such a short time. But the aides that worked with her loved her. She was a truly talented woman. We at Commonwealth Catholic Charities have the family in our hearts and prayers.

Emily was my mentor and my friend. I would have dropped out of VCU due to a teacher who picked on me as an older student. She would say "pick his brain, Irene. Don't quit. She was so kind, brilliant, and compassionate. Irene Jessee Perry

Rick, Nancy, Robin, Shannon and the little ones:
Relieved though I am for our Emily to be at peace and free at last from suffering, I can't help knowing how greatly I'll miss her. Giving has been the distinguishing mark of her long and fruitful life. So abundantly did she give of her time, her energies, her numerous talents, her hospitality, her worldly goods, her stimulating thoughts, and above all her affection, that it would be truly amazing if any of us were ever again to see her equal.
Picturing Emily totally at rest is a challenge to the imagination--but rest and peace are what I wish her, as well as comfort and healing to all of you.
