I remember Enola Palmer from our days at Maggie Walker so many years ago in the Class of 72. Though it was long ago, in some ways, to me it seems like it was just yesterday. I recall that Enola hosted the party for our graduating class at her mom's home on graduation night. Enola was an exceptionally intelligent, vivacious, and classy lady - even then. My heartfelt sympathy and condolences to her daughter and the rest of her family and I pray to God in heaven that her soul finds peace and rest. May God comfort, and continue to bless and keep you.

Aunt Enola I remember how much of a great aunt you were, and i will miss you very much. May your spirit be with us we will always love you and may you rest in peace with God. ,From Lance} {From Seth} Enola i find it very hard to believe you have gone home to God to be one of God's heavenly angels, because your work here is done and done very well. You have done a wonderful job raising Amanda and, as long as Amanda is here you will always be here with us. There will always be a emty space in my heart that no one can fill but you my baby sister. I guess like the pastor said God plucked This flower from Earth for his garden in heaven.{Love your brother, Seth

To the family,

My memories of Enola spans several decades when she graciously utilized her marvelous singing voice in a group I formed decades ago. The Enola I knew was meticulous in everything she attempted and I am sure that did not change over the years. It was indeed a shock to hear of her passing, but I am sure she has made an impact on hundreds of lives...including mine...some 40 years later. Rest in peace. "Well done thy good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a fews things...I will make you ruler over many".

I just wanted to send my heart felt condolences to the family at this time. Ms.Ricks was so nice to me and in elementary school painted the picture of how i wanted to be. Everytime I saw her she was the same, warm and caring person. I am going to miss her and I know that she will be missed greatly and she is definitely going to be a guardian angel for all of us.

To Sylvia Sekerdy & The Palmer Family,

I was very shocked to hear about the passing of Enola. I'll always remember her from our early years at Sharon Baptist Church. I'll always remember her singing and her wonderful personality. It was always pleasant to see your entire family at Church and how wonderful a job your Mom did raising you.

To the entire family,

I had the utmost respect for Nola. She has always been my mentor since the days of EZ-104. I loved her deeply. She was in my wedding in 1988 and Amanda was there.....She taught me many things about the radio industry as well as about how to be a loving parent. I will miss her deeply.

Amanda....I have the most beautiful picture of you and your Mom from my wedding and if you would like it please let me know at [email protected]

You are in my prayers,

Love,

Amanda & Family,

I would just like to express my sincere sympathy to you and your family at this most difficult time of your life. I worked with Enola @ Radio One and she was truly a great person. In the few short years I knew her, she was the type of person that made you feel like you knew her "forever". She always knew how to bring a smile to my face even if I was having the worst day. She was a beautiful person and will be sadly missed.

'Nola,

My heart is heavy with sadness in hearing of your passing.

Family, be comforted, somewhat, in knowing that so many are grieving with you. 'Nola, our paths have crossed many times since I last worked with you at the stations and we always seemed to pick up where we left off. Your big smiles, laughter and warm greetings will be so missed.

To Amanda and Family,

I am sorry to hear about your loss. You and your family will always be in our hearts and prayers.

Isaiah 41: 17. When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the Lord will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them.

The Lord is always aware of the condition of His children. They have the confidence of knowing they can always expect Him to see about them. When they are in a position of need they have the assurance of Him responding to their cry. He is listening at all times.

Do not hesitate to cry out to the Lord regardless of your situation. It only appears that He does not hear you. You may be at your lowest point, but the Lord is not ignoring you. Even if you cannot see how, He has the power and authority to meet your every need. You will not be forsaken.

Love you Amanda. Keep your head up and your heart with the Lord.

Amanda & Family,

My heart goes out to you because you have lost such a wonderful and beautiful person inside and out. My last year in Radio, Enola took me under her wings and really opened up to me a lot about herself. She was funny, smart and had a great sense of style. What I loved about her the most was that she believed in working hard and she demanded that everyone around her do the same no exceptions. She is truly a pioneer not to mention a fantastic Mother. You will forever be in my thoughts and prayers.

Sincerely,

Stephanie

I debated over signing this guest book because I usually don't do this. However, I've been in SHOCK since I heard about Nola's passing. I now live in Florida, but before moving here, I worked with Nola for almost 10 years at WMXB in Richmond. Our cubicles were side by side. I've never had anyone leave an impact on my life as she did. I have so many good memories of our time together and many pictures to look back on from our radio days and the fun we had. She could always put a smile on my face. I was in Nola's wedding and I remember when she had Amanda. Time has flown by and I have not seen Nola in awhile due to living out of town now, but she will always be an important part of my life and never forgotten. My thoughts and prayers go out to her daughter and family. There is a reason for everything, but it's sure hard to figure out at a time like this. Bless you Nola! I love you!

Of all of the people I have known in my life, few have had such a profound effect on me. 'Nola ALWAYS exhibited the utmost professionalism in the way she went about "doing radio". As an announcer, I came to know that she cared about "jocks" in a way few Account Executives could or would. If 'Nola said you were doing something wrong, it gave you cause for pause and self-evaluation. But even beyond her radio work, she left a lasting mark on my life with the incredibly blessed relationship she shared with her remarkable daughter, Amanda. "The world will little note nor long remember what we say here" but her impact will be felt by us and through us for years to come.

I was shocked when I received the news, to say the least. I had limited contact with Enola when we worked together in radio (being in different departments), but she has, nonetheless, left a positive mark in my life. It was a pleasure and a blessing having met her. My condolences to her family. While it is a normal process to grieve and mourn, I employ you to embrace the fact that she was loved by many, and positively touched the lives of many more! Celebrate her life in the process of mourning, and you will find comfort in her eternal spirit that will be carried by our continued thoughts of her.

Enola you will truly be missed. I thank God for allowing you in my life. You reminded me of my mom so much and I appreciate all of the pep talks you gave me. Your REALNESS will definitely be missed. Amanda I know this is a tough time for you, but please know I am here if you ever need a shoulder to cry on or just someone to talk to. Your mother truly loved you and exemplified it everytime she spoke about you. She was and will always be proud of you.

It was my sincere pleasure to work next to Enola for the past two years. Nola, I am going to miss you. I will miss your laugh and I will miss talking to you every day over that cubicle wall. To Amanda and Enola's family and friends, my heart goes out to you at this difficult, difficult time. Amanda, if I may, I just want you to know that your Mom was the most supportive, attentive mother I have ever met. I told her often that the confident, successful person you have turned out to be is a direct reflection on the type of loving mother she was. You made her so very proud. God Bless.

Dear Amanda and family of Enola,

There is a huge void in the radio advertising community now. It's felt not only in Richmond, but throughout the country as clients who have worked with Nola for years are calling and emailing to share their love and feelings of loss for your family...especially Amanda. Enola defined professionalism in the radio community. Everyone here at Radio One is feeling the loss, and I know we all know that Nola has raised a wonderful daughter, Amanda. Nola was a Mother first and foremost to everyone who knew her. We will miss you. We'll be here for you Amanda. With deep sympathy, Linda Forem
