Etta Dyson Obituary

DYSON, Etta Hubbard, 92, died Sunday, August 17, 2008 at Lutheran Home West of Hickory, N.C. Born January 24, 1916 in Danville, Va., she was the daughter of the late Greer and Sallie Hubbard of Burkeville, Va. She was retired from the General Defense Supply Center in Richmond, Va. She graduated from Montreat College and worked for the government until her retirement. She is survived by her son, Bill Dyson and wife, Susan; three grandchildren, Kimberley Hindman and husband, Keith, Mark Dyson and wife, Misty, and Joseph Dyson and fiance', Melissa Olekson; and four great-grandchildren, Boyd Hindman, Joanna Hindman, Cassidy Brown and Trey Dyson. Also surviving are her sisters, May Johnson and Alise Vaughan; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends and family on Wednesday, August 20, at 1 p.m. at Jennings-McMillian Funeral Home in Crewe, Va. A graveside service will follow at 3 p.m. at Sunset Hills Cemetery in Burkeville, Va.
