Frances Krupp Obituary

KRUPP Frances Riggan Krupp, 90, of Mechanics-ville, died January 4, 2007. She was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Paul Krupp; and her sister, Margaret Sanford. Mrs. Krupp is survived by her daughter, Jean Kay Henderson and her husband, Jim, of Sandston, Va.; son, William Paul Krupp and his wife, Linda, of Raleigh, N.C.; three grandchildren, David, Dawn and Jennifer; and five great-grand-children. Frances was born the daughter of a Waverly peanut farmer. During World War II, she met a handsome young soldier in the Army Band at Ft. Lee, Paul. After a whirlwind courtship, they were married and eventually she gave birth to the twins. Frances was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and mother-in-law. Those who knew her said she was beautiful inside and out and had the spirit of an angel. Frances's and Paul's marriage was a true love story. Paul adored her and would sneak a kiss whenever he could. In all things, Frances supported her husband, but could bring him to a halt with a quiet "now Paul." After Paul's discharge from the West Point Military Academy Band, she moved to Sandston, and Frances then worked for Southern Bank. She was active in Sandston's Corinth United Methodist Church and later, when they moved to Mechanicsville, Enon United Methodist Church of Studley. She has now been reunited in Christ with her true love, Paul, who died in September, 2006. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 7, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Mechanicsville Chapel of the Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Road, also where a funeral service will be conducted Monday, January 8, at 2 p.m. Interment Washington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Enon United Methodist Church, 6156 Studley Rd., P.O. Box 68, Studley, Va. 23162.

As I only met them as a child with Dawn, I remember riding their bikes up and down the driveway. I am truly touched by the love that she and paul (popop)shared. I am very sorry dawn, kay for your loss. This was the most sweetest obituary I have ever read.Be strong.
