Frank Theodore Kinker

Frank Theodore Kinker Jr. of Mechanicsville, Va., son of the late Frank and Helen Kinker of Richmond, Va. died Tuesday, July 22, 2003, age 78. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Janet Hackett Kinker; 3 sons, Dale E. Kinker of Peachtree City, Ga., Alan Bryant Kinker and wife Judy of Mechanicsville, Va., and Frank Wade Kinker of Mechanicsville, Va.; 3 granchildren, Ian Scott Kinker, Danielle Nicole Kinker, and Kailey Laurel Kinker; and mother-in-law Alice E. Hackett. As a veteran of WW II, he served in Europe in the 8th Air Force completing 30 missions as a Waistgunner in B-24’s. He was a founder and vice president of Commonwealth Packaging Co. A long time member of Mechanicsville Presbyterian Church, he served as both Deacon and Elder. In lieu of flowers please send contributions to the building fund of Mechanicsville Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be at Woody’s Funeral Home at 9271 Shady Grove Rd. from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday July 24. A graveside service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Friday July 25 at West Hampton Memorial Park. A Memorial Service celebrating his life will be held at Mechanicsville Presbyterian Church at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 25 with a reception to follow.
