Fred Wright Obituary

Fred Wright

December 13, 1979 - March 5, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Fred Samuel Wright, who left us on March 5, 2025, at the age of 45. Born on December 13, 1979, Fred grew up in Amelia Court House, and he made a lasting impression on all who knew him. Fred is survived by his loving father, William Charles Wright; and stepmother, Lola Wright; uncle, David Wright (Janet); aunt, Linda Sue Heavner; stepbrother, Phillip Moler (Cheryl); nephews, Ben and Alex Moler; and many cousins. He was predeceased by his loving mother, Imogene Mann Wright; and his grandmother, Bettie K. Wright; and grandparents, Fred and Florence Mann. Fred's family remembers him as someone who brought joy and laughter into their lives, and he will be deeply missed. Fred never met a stranger and always had his bike ride planned to local stops to talk to his neighbors.

His friends and family will have the opportunity to pay their respects during a public viewing at Amelia Baptist Church on March 9, 2025, beginning at 2 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 3 p.m. Fred will be laid to rest beside his mother following the funeral service at Union Baptist Church Cemetery, 22110 Genito Road, Amelia Court House, VA 23002. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Fred's name to Amelia Baptist Church P.O. Box 452, Amelia Court House VA 23002.
