Frederick Chapman Obituary

CHAPMAN, Frederick William Jr., of Richmond, died on Friday, January 16, 2009 at the age of 97. He was a graduate of the University of Richmond, where he was a member of Phi Kappa Sigma. He was Vice President of Williams and Reed, Inc. Fred was married to the late Dorothea Claiborne Anderson. He is survived by his three children and their spouses, Bill and Kemper Chapman of Easton, Md., Anne and John Lubliner of Tucson, Ariz., and Claiborne and Jerry Jenkins of Richmond; and his grandchildren, Scottie Chapman of Richmond, Calif., Will Chapman (Heather), of Cambridge, Md., Dory Jenkins Clark (Chad), of Washington, D.C., Anne Jenkins Logue (Eric), of Richmond; and two great-grandchildren. He was also married to the late Kathleen Moore. Services will be held in the Chapel at First Presbyterian Church at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 21, 2009. Private burial will be at Hollywood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church or to the charity of your choice.
