Gabriel Lacy

Gabriel Ransone Lacy departed this life to continue his journey. Gabe touched many lives during his brief time here. To know Gabe was to know a deep, loving soul lightly tethered to the world. He will be remembered for his humor, sensitivity, kindness and keen intellect. He had an innate connection to nature and a unique empathy for the human experience. Gabe attended the Collegiate School where he developed many close friendships and a passion for learning. He studied history at VCU and was as open to philosophical discussions as he was to advocating for equality and tolerance. Gabe's love of music connected him with others, and his intelligence and wit were matched only by his exceptional pickleball skills. He loved animals and expressed great affection for the cats and dogs in his life. Our love for Gabe will live on forever.

Gabe is survived by his mother and stepfather - Hallie and Roman Lifson, father - Adam Lacy, brother - Jackson Lacy, half sister - Dylan Lacy, step siblings - Rachel, Tate and Connor Lifson, and his grandparents - Linwood and Constance Lacy and Richard and Robyn Kay. An Ehlers-Danlos research program established at the University of Virginia will be named in his honor. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Richmond Animal League Cat Rescue.
