Garland Campbell Obituary
November 14, 1930 - December 3, 2024
Garland Edward Campbell, 94, went to be with our Lord and Savior on December 3, 2024. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years Marcella Campbell, his son Brock Edward Campbell, daughter Dene' Campbell Houchens, son in law Kent Houchens, grandchildren Haley Campbell Houchens, Ella Campbell Houchens, Chris Houchens, Rachel Sharpstene and great granddaughter Julia Houchens. Garland was a proud Korean War veteran. He retired from Greater Richmond Transit Company as the Director of Transportation in 1997. After many years as an active member of Central Baptist Church in Chesterfield, he moved to Henrico and joined Fairmount Christian Church. Garland was an active member of Clover Hill Masonic Lodge #253 and Central Chesterfield Ruritan Club. A memorial service will be held for family and friends on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 10:30 in the chapel at The Masonic Home of Virginia located at 500 Masonic Lane, Richmond, Virginia.

I met Mr. Campbell at the Masonic Home where he lived , I had the pleasure of cutting his hair for the first time in the Beauty Shop , he was so pleased and could not stop complimenting me. He was such a kind gentlemen with a beautiful spirit. Thank You! Mr. Campbell for your kind words.
