Gene B. Keebler, age 94, passed away peacefully at home in St. Petersburg, Florida, on January 20, 2025. Born on March 7, 1930, Gene was the beloved son of Jake and Pearl Keebler, who preceded him in death.

Gene was raised on a family farm in Jonesborough, TN, where he developed a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for gardening. He began his studies at East Tennessee University, but paused his education to serve his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force for four years during the Korean Conflict, later returning to complete his degree. Gene went on to build a successful career with Noland Company, where he dedicated many years of hard work before retiring in 1991.

Gene spent much of his adult life in Charlotte, NC, Atlanta, GA, Richmond, VA, Nags Head, NC, and Florida, making lasting friendships and fond memories in each place. He was a lifelong and dedicated member of the Methodist Church, where he actively served his community.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 63 years, Lois (Streater) Keebler, with whom he shared a long and cherished life. Gene also leaves behind his devoted daughters, Kim Reynolds (Marvin) and Gena Keebler (Marie VanNostrand); and his treasured grandchildren, Christopher Reynolds and Kelly Reynolds.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Stanley Keebler, Clark Keebler, and Dot Vettori.

Gene will be remembered for his love of family, his sense of humor, and his dedication to living a full and meaningful life. He loved to travel, dance, garden, play tennis, and spend time at the beach.

A memorial service will be held on March 7, 2025, at 11 a.m., at the Sarasota National Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating Gene's extraordinary life.
